Some fresh starts turn out to be dead ends.\n\n\n\n 1978 in Virginia\n\n\n\n The Stewarts are falling apart.\n\n\n\n Pete is an agnostic and Mae is a fundamentalist Christian, and the two of them are raising three very perplexed young girls.\n\n\n\n They relocate their expanding family to a new subdivision and a new house in the hopes of starting over in a desperate attempt to keep their marriage intact.\n\n\n\n Rather, they gradually realize that they are not alone in their new home.
